Experience

Darby Kennedy has been teaching an array of social studies classes to a wide variety of students since college graduation in 1991. Initially, she taught in public school in Alabama, but eventually took on the task of educating her own children, and then began developing curriculum for home educated learners from around the world on the Outschool learning platform. Meeting the needs of all learners has always been a priority for Darby, whether those students were her own neurodiverse kids, or were learners living halfway around the world. She loves that online learning allows her to tailor a curriculum to a learner's unique needs.

Personal Interest

Darby is a self-proclaimed history geek who loves weird maps, cool charts, and great stories. Outside of teaching, she enjoys working outside, watching birds, baking, and getting to hang out with her almost-adult kids.

Why Darby is excited to be on the All Minds team

As a parent to two neurodiverse kids, I have seen firsthand how important it is to provide students with the ability to learn and thrive in ways that maximize their skills. All Minds Academy is creating an entire high school for neurodiverse learners around the globe, and I am excited to be able to pair my enthusiasm for history and government with the platform that All Minds Academy is building.
